About the Quran
The Quran is the holy book of Islam, revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) over a period of 23 years. It consists of 114 chapters (Surahs) of varying lengths, each containing verses (Ayahs) that provide guidance for Muslims.
The Surahs are categorized as either Makki (revealed in Mecca) or Madani (revealed in Medina), based on the period of revelation. Makki Surahs generally focus on faith, resurrection, and moral teachings, while Madani Surahs often deal with legal and social matters.

Tafsir (Explanation)
Al-Fatiha (The Opening)
Al-Fatiha is the first chapter of the Quran and is recited in every unit of Muslim prayer. It consists of 7 verses and is a prayer for guidance, mercy, and forgiveness. It's often referred to as the "essence of the Quran" as it summarizes the primary themes of the entire scripture.
Al-Baqarah (The Cow)
Al-Baqarah is the longest chapter in the Quran with 286 verses. It covers a wide range of topics including laws for personal conduct, marriage, divorce, business transactions, and the stories of previous prophets. The name comes from the story of the cow that the Israelites were commanded to sacrifice.
Ali 'Imran (The Family of Imran)
This Surah is named after the family of Imran, which includes Maryam (Mary) and Isa (Jesus). It emphasizes the unity of all revealed religions and contains discussions with Christians, inviting them to accept the message of Islam.
